Class Notes for Davidson College Class of 1978
Hi Bruce,
I have a 21 year old daughter enjoying her junior year abroad in Milan and three four year olds (see attached photo) entering kindergarten next fall at Bronxville Elementary School in Westchester County, NY. It is a ridiculously large spread, but I guess not all that uncommon these days. Even so I find it funny that at age 54 I am going to parent/teacher conferences at the preschool and sitting on chairs made for toddlers while listening to discussions about the development of fine motor skills. I am not so much worried about my kids’ ability to string a bead necklace as I am about my ability to get up out of that chair after thirty minutes. In any case all four children are thriving and bring much joy to me and my wife. My older daughter will finish her senior year at Hamilton College, that is if she ever does return from Italy. Thanks to Facebook I am able to catch a glimpse of what her life is like in the fashion capital of Europe. All I know is that there are many photos posted of her in night clubs and none of her in libraries.
I continue to work in publishing for a company that specializes in literacy materials for struggling K-8 readers and English-language learners. My wife Sarah started an online newspaper (www.myhometownbronxville.com) two years ago that covers local village news and occupies her time in between mediating disputes over toy sharing.
All the best,
